That is not entirely true, Kamal. Most races nowadays in the city happen on city road, people train on city roads.

I have read that if your running methodology is right, then the surface doesn't matter. e.g. heel first running as advocate by many sports coaches will get affected by running on hard surfaces. But in this method, you are going to get hurt over time anyway. However, barefoot/chi and other running methods are not affected by surface, as your leg posture adjusts to the hardness of the surface.

I'm sorry to say that I don't agree with you Vikram.
- First of all, almost all the trainers say that it's not good to train on roads because of the surface which is bad for your knees.
- Secondly, you can't run in the streets at the phase of 5 or less than 5 mnts per km. It's not possible.
- Thirdly I do agree with others it's not advisable to run with headphones in the streets.
